Bug Out! with Karen K and her imaginary friends, the Jitterbugs: Bumble (the bee who doesn’t like to sting); Stinky (loves playing outside, refuses baths), Hop (working on his self control); and Slug Bug (needs a LOT of naps).
Named one of the “Must-See Acts of 2015” and called “Power pop sheen that makes them fun for the whole family” by the Boston Globe, the Jitterbugs have quickly become a favorite among kids and kid-ults in Boston and beyond. Known for their engaging, high-energy shows packed with humor and amazingly catchy, well-crafted tunes, Karen K & the Jitterbugs has quickly become one of the most buzzed about kindie bands on the East Coast.
ALASTAIR MOOCK & FRIENDS - GARDEN STAGE 5:20PM SATURDAY
Alastair Moock is a 2014 GRAMMY Nominee, two-time Parents’ Choice Gold Medal Winner, recipient of the ASCAP Children’s Music Award, and has twice been voted by the Fids & Kamily Industry Critics’ Poll among the Top 3 Albums of the Year. Long one of Boston’s premier folk artists, Alastair turned his attention to family music after the birth of his twin daughters in 2006. The New York Times calls him “a Tom Waits for kids” and The Boston Globe declares that, “in the footsteps of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, Alastair Moock makes real kids music that parents can actually enjoy.” Moock and Friends’ live shows are rowdy, rootsy, singin’ and dancin’ fun for the whole family!

Alphabet Rockers are known as the premiere children’s hip hop artists who focus on social change and racial justice. Partnering with thought leaders on anti-bias and child development from U.C. Berkeley and World Trust, they create empowered, engaging concerts and activities for young children, families, and educators. This group is consciousness in motion, working to build a platform for institutional change through children’s media.
BEN RUDNICK & FRIENDS -GARDEN STAGE 5:20PM SUNDAY
With countless kudos to their credit, including SEVEN Parents’ Choice Awards, the band considers its main focus to be providing a common ground where all family members can enjoy a shared musical experience.
Drawing on original songs and traditional material, the band seamlessly integrates classic Americana with their own unique sound. It’s kids, it’s families, it’s music… live music.
The band is in their seventeenth year of making music for families. That includes twelve recordings, tours up and down the east coast, and a week of shows in Colorado. The band is an institution in the Boston area and are happiest when playing outside on a perfect New England summer evening.

His name is Joe Pagliuca, but you can call him Big Joe! That was the name given to him by the preschoolers he taught, and it is the same name he now uses as a professional storyteller. Hailed as “One of the best in the business” by the Boston Globe, Big Joe has been delighting children and families for many years with his exciting storytelling show. With a huge collection of original and classic tales as well as a box filled with puppets props, and surprises, Big Joe has added lots of humor and fun to birthday parties, schools, libraries, and all kinds of events across New England! If you love stories, youwill love the unique and wonderful experience of seeing Big Joe the Storyteller!

Good News Gus and Mr. Harry are coming to town! They are a dynamic duo that sing and tell stories! They are bringing a whole group fuzzy friends to the Festival at the Farm to entertain the young and young at heart! Join Sunny Bear, Otis the Dog, Cash, Bernie and of course Ketchup for a show filled with singing, laughing, juggling, magic and more!!
MAGIC WITH AWESOME ROBB -SHOWTIME! TENT 2:30PM EACH DAY
The Awesome Robb Show is so much more than a Magic Show. It is show that entertains everyone. Robb is a fast pace Comic that will have the crowd laughing right from the start. Robb gets hired because he connects with his audience and makes them laugh. The magic and juggling are pretty awesome too. Robb has many different shows to fit all sorts of venues and ages.
TRAILSIDE MUSEUM RAPTOR PRESENTATION -SHOWTIME! TENT 1:15PM EACH DAY
Power. Ferocity. Majesty and mystery. Human beings have invested birds of prey with these qualities for thousands of years. Their abilities to do the amazing continue to inspire our thoughts and excite our imaginations. But which ideas about these birds are facts and which are fictions? This presentation is brought by Mass Audubon’s Blue Hills Trailside Museum and uses live birds of prey to explore what makes a “bird of prey,” the role they play in the environment, and how humans affect their ability to survive. Audience members will be able to see the birds up close, handle touchable natural history artifacts, and ask an experienced naturalist answer their questions.
COMEDY MAGIC WITH MATT ROBERTS -SHOWTIME! TENT 4:30PM EACH DAY
Matt Roberts has been appearing in front of audiences for 20 years. Trained in improv, with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, the real magic is how he brings the signature spontaneous, quick comedy style that has kept him in-demand on screen, to his live shows, interacting with your guests for a personal, one-of-a-kind, award-winning experience. Awarded the title of "GREAT ILLUSIONIST" by PPAC, one of the country's top performing arts centers, duringThe Illusionists Broadway tour and"FIRST PLACE" & "PEOPLE'S CHOICE" by his peers at the legendary "Abbott's" national magician's competition, Matt's proven track-record and smart, original show is one to remember.
Let's get excited about reading and using our imagination! At our Pop-Up Bookstore, we've partnered with the non-profit More Than Words to bring a mini version of a kids bookstore to Festival at the Farm!
We'll have a variety of gently used books ranging from children's to young adults, and adult fiction to non-fiction!
You can find More Than Words poppin' up in the community at special events, corporate lobbies, or farmers markets throughout Massachusetts.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL YOGA - EACH DAY AT 1:15PM IN THE FARMER'S MARKET
A 45 minute gentle yoga class, perfect for total beginners, experienced yogis, and your little flower child! A playful and relaxing yoga flow combining poses, breathing, and meditation that will leave you to enjoy the rest of the festival feeling refreshed, peaceful, balanced, and absolutely blissful. Honor your divine self, breathe in the fresh air, wiggle your toes in the grass, and feel the breeze on your skin in savasana.
HULA-HOOPING FUN w/ BRINGTHEHOOPLA
BringtheHoopla, an educational (hula) hoop company focuses on bringing the fun back into fitness as well as creating a safe and welcoming environment for all ages. We custom design and hand-make each hoop from scratch.
Our Hoopla Zone is an area exclusively for hooping, fun and play; we include demo performances from 2 Hoopla team members, mini classes, approachable, fun on-the-spot instruction for all levels and an all-inclusive hoop jam. It's a wonderful, interactive activity for all ages.
We provide our handmade hoops in an array of sizes to help get everyone in the spin.
